In our opinion, the pollution of the environment and especially of biodiversity by chemicals is not only an important field of research with many unanswered questions, but also a central social field of action with the aim of protecting biodiversity and ultimately also human health.
The Excellence initiative RobustNature would like to address this topic in a Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) of the German Research Foundation (DFG). We want to work on socially relevant problems that we develop in a transdisciplinary research process, i.e. together with various actors from politics, industry and environmental protection.
To this end, we are holding a stakeholder workshop: The aim of the workshop is to work together with thematically relevant regional and supra-regional stakeholders to develop central problems and possible solutions with regard to the topic of chemical pollution and loss of biodiversity with a focus on the Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region, but also beyond.
